Oh. Hi there! This is obviously, totally me.
Yeah, right.
So, we moved house, and Alex disappeared off to San Francisco a few days later. It’s been quite strange living alone in a new house. Too many new house noises that cause Fern to bark in my face at 5am. Not that I’m annoyed or anything.
Anyway. Here’s a look into what I’ve been doing over the past fortnight or so. Sorry, it’s a photo/Instagram post. I know, what a cop out, right? What a lazy blogger!
When Alex left, the first thing I set up was my room. I have a lovely little study now…
…with the added bonus of a built in bar to put all my craft stuff on! I HAVE A CRAFT AREA AGAIN! I missed you crafting. Craft craft craft. That word has lost all meaning now.
A new discovery (to me) was Hart’s Bakery that opened up properly this month at Temple Meads. It’s nice to have a decent lunch place so close to my office, and last week, I had the butternut squash, leek and cheese toastie (not a combination I would have gone for myself, but it was all that was left, and was delicious!) and a breakfast bun which is just LUSH. They have a little seating area at the front of the building, then at the rear, it’s the actual bakery! They do takeaway stuff as well, so if you’re travelling from Temple Meads, go a little earlier, and head to Hart’s, instead of suffering the revolting food from Upper Crust or the crap drinks from the Starbucks inside the station.
No mention of food is complete without a gratuitus photo of PORKS from Grillstock. I love you porks. LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUU.
I picked up my beautiful Christmas present as well, a small Hetty hobo from Mulberry. I’ve always gone for huge bags, so to have something this small is a bit of a challenge! It’s good not to be lugging half the contents of the house around with me though!
Oh, and no blog post this week is complete without the mention of the snow. Fern loved the snow a lot.
Since First decided to cancel all of the buses just as I was about to leave the house, I decided to crack on with the unpacking. Above is the box of cables that powered the front room. Ridiculous.
This was as good as we got with the snow on Friday, but it was still pretty exciting. It has melted quite quickly as well – the perfect snow.
It snowed again this week, but I had to put the dog outside to go to the loo. After a few minutes outside, this is how she looked. Aaah.
And finally, the view from my front door on Friday. We live on a main road, so I doubt I’ll see it this quiet again, but I thought it was just so pretty!
Soooooooooooooo, what’s been going on with you?

Hurrah for the Mulberry! So excited for you – the house looks wicked and I’m seriously jealous of the craft area!

I can’t decide if I want your bag, your food or your craft area most.

Yay craft! Happy new home :D
I found out about Hart’s being there the other day, now I’m plotting excuses to go there. Also for PORKS as I haven’t managed that still :o
