Welcome to my blog! If you’re reading this, then you probably want to know a bit more about me. Except I have no idea what to actually say here, so erm…lets see.
My name is Hayley, and I’m a fashion and lifestyle blogger currently living just outside Seattle, Washington. I’ve been blogging since early 2000 because I just like writing. (The very first versions of the blog were updated manually in Notepad – I can’t believe I used to go in, edit the HTML and then save and upload everytime!)
I’ve been writing for fun for as long as I can remember and have always liked to write articles rather than fictional stories – a good example of this was creating a newspaper with a friend in primary school from the point of view of our hamsters. I was a cool kid really.
I’m originally from Chester, in the north west of England, moving to Aberystwyth, Wales for university to study Business Finance in 2002. After a year or two back home, I moved to Bristol, England in 2008 and loved it there. I met my now husband Alex in 2009 and we settled down, got two dogs to be friends with his dog and bought a house. In 2017, we made a huge leap to get married and move to the US, and we’ve been here since June 2017. We bought a house in August 2020 (what, you didn’t spend the first year of the pandemic gaining a house, a new dog and your husband changing jobs?)
ceriselle.org is my personal site and has been around since 2007, as a place for me to just write about whatever I want to and whatever I’m enjoying at the moment. I also have a few other websites…
- Bonjour, Blogger! – a website aimed at helping out other bloggers make their website amazing.
- The Glasshouse – my newest baby, a shop where I sell courses, mentorship and resources for lifestyle bloggers.
