So I’ve described what happened on my birthday, but here are some of the gifts I receieved (that made me squeal every time I opened one of them, which is why I’m sharing them with you! Also because I have ace friends.)
Zoe sent me some beautiful earrings that she made, some blue/gold glittery ones, and some burgundy and pewter earrings.
I’ve been wanting one of these giant cup things for ages, since Cabot Circus opened and I found one in Urban Outfitters. Unfortunatly I didn’t really want it for planting plants in, but for the biggest cup of tea ever. Louise and Nathan bought me this one, and quite handily, it has a bung in the drainage hole in the bottom. Woo hoo. Its going to be planted in though, with some herbs so I can pretend I know how to use them in cooking.
Helen sent me the most exciting parcel (and thanks to Royal Mail it didn’t arrive till Monday. Thanks Royal Mail.) It contained “birthday” chocolate coins, a birthday cake, candles, balloons, stationary, cross stitching patterns (by Kurt Halsey, glee!) giant sunglasses (Oh Reflex, you are the crappiest of all nightclubs, except in Chester and then its only because you don’t have much competition that we think you’re not that bad) and the first season of Big Bang Theory on DVD. Love it! We both have a bit of a thing for geeks, and Sheldon is just the best in the show.
So now I am 26, am I going to be all grown up and sensible, and that sort of thing?
Er, no.
Zoe says
I’m glad you liked the earrings!
I’m stealing the present box idea for Becky’s birthday in a few weeks, hehe. I hope I can make mine as good as Helens! Those glasses are hilarious, and I’m jealous of the cross stitch pattern – I could never find patterns that cool when I used to cross stitch!

it’s no longer reflex, the 80’s bar. it’s now babylon, the 90’s bar.
still shit though. but i’m only there on the gay night for the last hour because they close metal pig early. rb’s hates us rockers, they’re well gash.

Ditto about the cross stitch patterns – I’d love some modern stuff to get my hands on!
It’s so strange but I only saw those giant mugs for the first time about a week ago in The Range. I was really disappointed when I realised there was a big drainage hole in the bottom!
