Oh Etsy. You’re the sort of site that I can end up looking at for hours, and not just in the aim of finding something as hilarious as the crap that Regretsy highlights. Even the boyfriend knows what Etsy is (that did concern me a bit, I’ll admit. Ooh. Perhaps he’s trying to find a dress made from neckties like in the Apprentice last week? If possible, this one’s even worse. Although doesn’t have a duvet at the bottom.)
Despite the crap thats on there, there are some gorgeous shops about, such as Bijou Bijoux which was started by a lovely lady called Alice last year. She started off making feathered hairbands, but then expanded into jewellery in themed collections. She sent me the hair clips from her “A Nice Cup Of Tea” range (is this just general knowledge that I love tea?)
(Do you know how hard it is to take a photo of your head without being able to see?)
I love the hair clips – they’re not the sort of thing I’d have chosen myself (I kinda forget that you can get pretty sparkly things to go in your hair most of the time!) but they’re small enough to not be all HEY GUYS I’VE GOT A TEA CUP AND SAUCER ON MY HEAD. I’ve even worn them to work (thats another story that I’m not going to get into here anyway!)
Having a peep around Alice’s shop, I found a few more things that if I suddenly found these in my jewellery box, I wouldn’t be upset.
The matching teapot to the cup and saucer, but this is as a necklace. There’s also a milk jug and sugar bowl to go with them, but I think these are a bit more obvious what they are!
Two crafty necklaces, one of a sewing box (and apparently the little scissors actually work?!) and one of a bobbin box. I personally prefer the bobbin box to the sewing box, but that might be because of the spools of cotton.
Finally, I wanted to include my favourite hairband in the shop at the moment. “Cygnus” is made from pheasant feathers that have a gorgeous grey/blue tone to them. When I saw it, I thought of my friend Ally, because this would look amazing in her hair!
Theres so much more on the website and etsy store, and they’re also on Twitter!
Thank you all for your entries to my giveaway! I’ve had a bit of a hectic weekend, but hopefully will pick a winner tomorrow :)

Oh wow! Brilliant. And you could have just sorted out a Christmas present for me!
(I’d better be getting an honourable mention in the giveaway post – did you get my essay?!)
