Designer collaborations tend to leave me a little bored if I’m honest. We’re usually presented with a dulled down version of some of the well known traits of the designer to make it a bit more “high street” friendly, and at the end of the season, theres usually a sale rack full of the bits no one wanted.
Take Mulberry for Target. You’d assume, being a bit of a Mulberry obsessive (NOT MY WORDS THERE. Huh. Obsessive. Healthy love more like it), that I’d be salivating, and trying to get my hands on all of the items. And I was! Until I saw photos of the items. Meh wasn’t even ambivalent enough for how I felt about them.
So when I saw a blog post over at Fashionista about the “Lanvin Loves H&M” collection, I was only giving it half my attention until I saw DRESSES AND SHOES OMG. Sorry. Anyway. A promo video has been made, and its…I want to say weird, but that sounds like I’m being horrible – its not weird, its strange but pretty awesome. Also, dresses.
Here are a few of my choices from the collection…it seems to be mainly made up of dresses, but theres also the shoes and the mens collection (which is a bit Chuck Bass I think, can’t go wrong really!) Accessory wise…its not that exciting really!
Coat, £200
Dresses, £100 each
Dress, £150
Shoes, £70
Skirt, £35
T-shirt, £30
Price wise, I expected them to be more expensive than the usual £20 dress offering that H&M does, but for the increased price, I’m hoping that the material isn’t completely awful, and that the sizing is good. I can’t be the only one who takes three different sizes of one item into the changing rooms there, because theres so much fluctuation.
It will be available to view at hm.com from tomorrow (Nov 4) and available to buy online and in selected stores from November 23rd. I’m almost tempted to queue up myself…

I like the dresses you’ve picked, but don’t like the prices enough to queue!
