I’ve been meaning to post these for a while, but today just seemed right. These beautiful illustrations of this wonderful city by Sarah Matthews and can be bought from I Love Crafty‘s shop in Clifton Village.
I don’t normally comment on news events on here, but its something thats saddened and angered almost everyone I know. Perhaps the one good thing that comes out of all of this is showing how communities are – and this feels cheesy to say, but oh so true – pulling together to get through it. Londonist.com has details of where bedding and clothing can be donated for those made homeless by the riots in London and of course, riotcleanup.co.uk is helping to co-ordinate the clean ups around the country. In Bristol, @bristolriots provided a great service last night making sure that there were no silly rumours flying about – and thankfully we had a peaceful night last night. They’ll be doing the same tonight apparently, so if you’re in Bristol, follow them (and help if you can!)
Hope none of you have been affected by these dreadful riots, and that your home towns are safe x
