This weeks IFB Project task is to show what’s in your “blogger toolkit” – from notebooks to lipgloss, cameras to computers. I thought I’d share what I carry with me on a daily basis in the hope of making blogging easier.
(10pm is not the best time to take photos apparently!)
The three clipped bundles of papers are things I’ve scribbled down (ideas, post beginnings, etc. There’s a lot of Post It’s bundled in there as well), my blogger planner (shown below the bundle opened out) and blank pages I can slip into a notebook to write on. They all go into the pink folder with a pencil so I can scribble anything down whenever. My iPad and iPhone of course – the iPad being easier and nicer to type on, but the iPhone being more handy. In the gold case, I keep my compact camera, the USB cable for it and the iPad camera connection dongle. I have a 3G iPad, so I can in theory blog anything whereever whenever.
Apps I use on both devices include the WordPress one (on iPhone, I use it more to approve comments than post entries), Photoshop Express (to crop pictures – but I prefer to use Picnik on my desktop) and PlainText (since WordPress has crashed in the middle of a post and lost everything too many times for me to be confident to use it on it’s own)
What do you use to keep track of all the random bits you want to blog?
Sarah says
So impressed about your ability to blog anywhere – I want an iPaaaad! I suppose my toolkit would be my camera, tripod, remote and laptop (mostly Notepad and Photoshop) – oh, and the extensive wardrobe, which isn’t all that portable!
