Back to blogging, back to trying to do an outfit post!
Dress: H! by Henry Holland | Belt: F&F | Shoes: Pump and Circumstance
I wore this on Friday night when I went to the Basement pop up restaurant with some Twitter friends. Most of us hadn’t met before in the ~*real world*~, which could have made things SO awkward, but it wasn’t! We had some tempura seaweed from Wai Yee Hong (which – I may be biased – is the best Chinese supermarket in Bristol. Its definitely the chattiest supermarket in the UK.) as a pre dinner nibble – the waitress said it was OK as long as we had some of the beer battered onions, which were delicious. I skipped the starter, because I wanted to make sure there was enough room for pudding (theres always enough room, who am I kidding), and chose the slow roast shoulder of pork, along with everyone else on the table. A table full of pork is a beautiful thing. For pudding, I went for the chocolate and Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout mousse with salted caramel crumbs on top. I also tried (for the first time) some sherry, by Tio Pepe. Yum yum yum.
Anyway. Dresses. You didn’t come here to see how delicious my dinner was. (IT REALLY WAS.) This dress is part of the H! by Henry Holland range at Debenhams, one I always find myself heading towards when I go in. Sometimes I feel like the clothes are a little young for me, but meh. I picked this dress up for when I went to the iFabbo conference in London, and it kept me nice and cool in the heatwave. The skirt is a little short, although I think it could do with another inch or so in the torso instead of being longer in the actual skirt bit. Tights and pumps kept me from feeling too dressed up, and I used an oversized clutch I bought after seeing one of VIPXO‘s eBay posts instead of my usual tiny clutch. Felt a bit odd really!
The other thing that I started this weekend was Weekend Blog Love / #wkendbloglove. It seemed to get a good response, and I think its something I’m going to try and keep up every weekend – its just nice to say nice things about lovely people! If you want to join in, tweet about some amazing posts you’ve seen this week and add the hashtag #wkendbloglove.Easy.

I loooove polka dots especiallly in black and white. I love how you combined the whole look adding black tights and black pumps to it. The skinny belt looks great along with the flare of the dress. You said the dress is a bit short but they way you put the look, I think is just perfect!

Finally, an outfit post :) this dress is uttely gorgeous. If it didn’t have a v neck I would have wanted to buy it for myself, but I feel v neck don’t suit small cherries for boobies like me. On you, on the other, wit wit woo.
