Last Saturday, I lazily made my way over to London for an Aussie Angel event with a difference. Most events that I’ve been to have been crazy big events, but this event was held at the Spa at Chancery Court Hotel which was a relaxing change of scene.
After some cold soup (mango and ginger? What made it soup rather than a smoothie?), we headed into the changing room where we found stylists ready to do our hair, and baskets in the lockers with Aussie slippers, more 3 Minute Miracle (you can never have enough!) and a robe (above!)
I had an awesome massage first where I could hear my back clicking away (I really should have massages more often.) After that, I headed into the steam room with Kelly and Maria, where we tried not to burn our bums on the stone seating!
I had my hair style into a bun with a bit of a difference, it ended up looking like a cinnamon bun. Mmmm, tasty. There was a filming crew there, so we all went in individually to talk about Aussie products…I seem to giggle a lot when I’m nervous, I’m really hoping that video doesn’t appear online at all!
We ate yummy food (lots of salads and healthy things, of course) and gossiped in the relaxation room before getting to the main reason we were there. We headed into the mens changing rooms (we had the whole spa to ourselves, of course!) and were handed sunglasses to wear before we went in…
The new Aussie range is all about shine – making your hair look super shiny. I’ve been using the products for a week now, and I think my hair is a little more glossy with each use. The new range uses pearl extracts and ginseng to give your hair a new look, and contains peach, raspberry and strawberry extracts to give it a yummy smell. (Everyone at the event seemed to think it was a cotton candy smell, but its more fruity to me – whatever the smell is, its the usual delicious Aussie kind of smell!)
Here’s a few shots of my hair which hopefully show the new shine – in the first photo, I added some pearls on illusion string as a quick hair accessory which was super easy to make (Would you like to see a DIY for those? I was thinking of popping that up on my much neglected Tumblr account because it is just a little too easy to justify a post on its own!)
Head over to Kelly and Christina’s blogs – they’ve been posting about the event and a little more background into the new products!
Fancy winning a few little treats? Kelly, Christina and I have teamed up to have a little treasure hunt…head over to Christina’s blog post to find out how to enter!
