What is this hashtag?

After writing about what I dislike about blogs, I thought it would be a nice idea to share some of my favourite posts from the past week. It was intended as a one off, but I liked sharing some new blogs with Twitter, so I carried on!

But why?

Blogging is a very solitary, and – dare I say it – self centred hobby. I see a lot of people working hard to promote themselves – and that is great! – but sometimes its a little frustrating to see the constant self promotion and nothing to talk about what they enjoyed reading. If you blog, its unlikely that you wouldn’t be reading other blogs in the same genre – if you’re interested in a subject, you’d want to read more around it, right?

Can I join in?

Um, YES. Obviously.
I can’t stop what you tweet, but if you are going to use the #wkendbloglove hashtag – please promote other blogs and don’t just use it to whore your latest post.

Why is talking about other blogs a good thing?

Because, it IS. Isn’t it nice to pay someone a compliment?
