Last week I told you about my Diana lens, and thought I’d share with you some of the results. (Click the picture to see it bigger)

I haven’t edited these photos at all, just adjusted the size so they’re a bit easier to see, but I quite like them.

They have quite a soft look to them, which I actually like. It does take some patience to get a half decent photo – the photo of my makeup was the best of a bad bunch of at least 12! This might put people off the lens, but look at it this way – its a digital camera, so you can take as many photos as you need to. I found that it needed to be kept still to get a clearer photo when not using the flash (the centre photo of the postcards is the only one I used the flash on) but I used my tripod (I think it was about £15 from Argos a few years ago, it looks pretty similar to this one at Amazon* though) and the remote (which cost me £20 a few years ago from a little shop in Chester. For some reason, they don’t sell this model anymore, instead replacing it with one thats 3 times bigger and doesn’t clip onto the strap)

I’m not sure I would have spent the £47 (including shipping to the UK) that it should have cost me on Lomography, but for £20, this is a nice little toy to have.

  1. I do like the soft look to them, and it does sound less faff than film, but I think your right, £47 is rather a lot… Although nothing compared to some lenses!

  2. I just got this lens for myself and I’m still toying around with it. I’m a fan of a sharp images, so the softness throws me off a big, But I think I will try it with a tripod and flash and she I prefer the results :)
